School work!

YAY! Testing is finally over but did we do well??? Also reports are coming out soon, the parents have high expectations! For us in year 8 we only have 27 days left of school! (excluding all the fun trips we get to go on!) Next year we will once again be the small fish in the big pond. It's a time of many changes and not all good, I'm off to Waimea college while Ellie's off to Motueka High :( How will we get along without each other!!

Hand rearing lambs,-Larry the lamb and his new friend, Bob!

Recently the sheep that are grazing on Lucys land have started lambing. All those cute tiny lambs popping out here and there! Of course some lucky mothers have twins, but unluckily they will usually reject one if they feel that they don't have enough milk or that something is wrong internally. This happened to one lamb that we took onto ourselves to hand rear. We named him Larry and he had a lovely but sadly short life dying at just 3 and a half weeks from the all too common bloat. Only 2 in 10 hand reared lambs will survive but Larry had already made a impact on our lives with his cute chubby checks and pleading baaa.
A few weeks later another lamb got rejected and we thought that we might aswell give him a bit of loving even if he does die. Our hopes were low but he is now 5 days old and doing well. We named him Larry after the first. Then barely a whole day later another lamb was rejected from twins and is now Larrys best friend! We named him Bob! Larry and Bob will hopefully have a long and privileged life, cross fingers, touch wood!

The R.W.C is FINALLY here!!!!

Hey, its Ellie and Lucy here!
Are you guys excited about the rugby world cup??
How many of you watched the opening ceremony? I know I did! I thought it was totally amazing, what did you think?

Leave us a comment and tell us who you are surporting too!

What a great win from the All Blacks! 41-10 Tonga, hopefully getting us the extra points we need to reach the quater finals.

The semi's against Australia was a tough and nerve racking game. Lucky we pulled through and managed to win 20-6!!

In the finals we played France. The whole of New Zealand was watching as the All Blacks battled for the Webb Ellis Cup!! It was a nail biting finish will a score of 8-7 to the All Blacks!! We could all breath a sigh of relief as Richie McCaw lifted the cup for the first time in 24 years!! :)

We hope you all enjoyed the RWC in NZ, Can't wait till the next time in England 2015!!

chessey our new adopted dog!

girls soccer-winter tournament

Hi, It's Ellie and Lucy here. I hope your enjoying our blog so far. Here's a awesome recount of the girls soccer team (which Lucy is in) playing at the school winter tournament.
The first games we played on Thursday the 18th. We won two and drew two but didn't let any goals in! The second day was much more intense as we had to win both games but especially the second one against prep. Luckily we did win the first one but couldn't get the goals in in the game against prep so prep had to loose the semi-final or we wouldn't get in! few; prep lost but no time to celebrate, we've got the finals! The game was extremly close and came down to penatly shoot outs! YAY!! The final score is 4-2 to us, We all are very proud and know we deserved to win!

Buffy, Lucy's gorgeous puppy!

Isn't she adorable! She's a one-of-a-kind dog because all we know that she has in her is rough collie and catahola, all the puppys in her litter looked different and nobody knows who the father is or if there's more than one father! What pets do you have?
